Due to the record breaking snow pack on our course, the Tour de Hood has been shortened to one day for 2008. Come join us for a beautiful Sunday ride and take in the final stage of the Mt Hood Cycling Classic!
Come ride two of the same courses that challenge elite racers in the internationally ranked Mt Hood Cycling Classic stage race, while benefiting Lance Armstrong’s Live Strong Foundation and the Mt Hood Cycling Classic organization.
Starting in Hood River at the Start/Finish area of the final stage of the Mt Hood Cycling Classic, the course winds over to Mosier and The Dalles, loops to Mosier, and then heads back along the Mt Hood Cycling Classic time trial course on the Historic Columbia River Highway – a section closed to automobile traffic. The ride ends in Hood River just as the day’s racing peaks with the final stage of the MHCC: the pro women’s and men’s Downtown criteriums. Enjoy a burrito by Taco del Mar and a pint of Full Sail and take in the speed of the racers as they take chances in the corners and try to gain ground in the straight-aways in their last chance of the week to gain time or win a stage. This event is the ultimate blend for participant and race fan – ride to your heart’s content and then cheer on the racers at one of North America’s prime race events.
The Tour de Hood is a unique riding experience brought to you by Orange Cat Events and the Mt. Hood Cycling Classic. |
