We had the honor to host Edwige Pitel at our home during the event. She is outstanding in every way. With no support of a team that could help her during the event she focused and held off a field of other talented contenders. She also is accomplished in her career (doctorate in engineering and computer sciences). She has been in the Olympics (2004) and overlooked by France for the 2008 Olympics even though she was in the top 3 for performance. She has a bigger story to tell and all female athletes should celebrate her win. Great race – thanks to all the sponsors and we need more to step up to keep this event in the Gorge. Thanks Edwige you are an inspiration!

Who are these “Red Truck” boys and where did they come from. For an amateur team, they seem to have some talent.

Pitel SMOKED in that sprint – alone: way impressive!! Thanks for the background, Sharon.
