Sunday June 6, 2010 – Hood River Criterium

Description: This is an incredibly challenging criterium course that will throw everything at the riders. It will start in front of Full Sail Brewing Company and proceed in a clockwise fashion. The riders will start uphill on Commercial before taking a sharp right hand turn onto Wasco Street. They will then immediately descend into a left hand curve followed immediately by a sharp right hand turn coming back nearly 120 degrees. A long flat straight stretch on Industrial allows riders to pick up serious speed before they jam on their brakes to make a very difficult right hand turn of nearly 180 degrees before starting back uphill to the finish. This will be a physically demanding criterium that fits in well with the overall theme of the event. Big Hurt! Spectators will be treated to thrills, spills, and chills as racers careen around corners at top speeds. Top it all off with music and one of the Northwest best race announcers calling the race and you have one fun event.
